My spouse, My Sister

Song of Solomon 4:9

Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.

Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

If we do the will of the Father of Jesus, God, we are then a brother to Christ Jesus.  How?  We are then adopted into the family of God.  Therefore we become a brother to Jesus;  we are also his sister this same way.  But, Mother?   Yes,  we, this human that I am, have the Christ inside me, growing into a begotten son of Jesus; thus I am his Mother.  

But then…  oh wonderful news…  I can now become his wife.  My sister, my spouse.  He marries his sister or his mother.  Can you see this glory?

Jeremiah 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:  [turn = repenting]   and He will marry you.

But you must divorce law to be married to Christ:  Romans 7:3  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Romans 7:4  Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

See, you must be dead to the law of bondage in order to be married to Christ Jesus.  This is grace;  freedom. But you must be his sister, his brother and his mother for this to happen to you…  do the will of his Father.

John 11:39   Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Amazing truth is revealed in the lives of those who are told about in Scripture;  truly this is the only reason they are told about.  See, this Martha was the one who believed that the woman had no right sitting at the feet [means being a student] of Jesus and hearing his word.  So this Martha is showing to be a sister  of the dead.  Marvelous, indeed.  So those who think that a woman has no right to the words of Jesus are dead. ..  dead four days.

John 19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.   [take up your cross and follow Jesus;  to become his wife]

Romans 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

See that? Phebe our SISTER.  His sister, his spouse.  This word ‘servant’ here is not the same word as that one which means a physical servant;  it means to be the leader.  Wow,  just hit a hard hammer on the lie that a woman cannot be a minister.

Genesis 20:12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

Genesis 26:7

And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

Genesis 26:9 And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife; and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.   [Jesus died for his sister;  his spouse.]

Genesis 34:14

And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:  [the uncircumcised in heart cannot marry his sister]

Exodus 2:4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

Exodus 6:20

And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses:  [see that Moses’ motherwas his father’s sister/now his wife.]

Job 17:14

I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.  [This corruption/worm means us humans.  See, again Jesus is calling us his mother/his sister.]

Proverbs 7:4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:  [so we must possess wisdom to become his sister/wife.]

Song of Solomon 4:9

Song of Solomon 4:10

How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!

Song of Solomon 4:12

A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

Song of Solomon 5:1 I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.

Song of Solomon 5:2

I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.

[This is the call to come into salvation;  become his sister, his love, his bride]

Song of Solomon 8:8

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?  [This is those children who died before being able to grow up into a wife for Jesus and able to feed his children the milk of the word.  But, there is hope: they will make her a wall.

]Now for the glorious climax of this message:  John 2 2 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

I could place this entire chapter here but due to the length of the message I will not do so; rather I will be doing another message on this chapter.  It is too good to be just the ending of the above wonderful message.  But it is the perfect ending to this message.

His wedding to his mother/his sister/ his spouse.  Amen!
