Poems

By:  Jo Smith…. Dec. 3, 2024

Most deep soul-felt poems are born out of grief;  deep grief.

When one feels the deep grief in their heart, they are then inspired to write this pain in the beautiful

Form of poetry.

So here goes;

The empty chairs around my table

The empty place in my heart

I will try to tell, if I am able.

I would never in a lifetime from them depart.

My two little sons whom I never got to hold.

My love for you will always wish to be told.

You are still living inside me today

As If you never went away.

My grief is still alive now after all these years..

Today I shed for you, my two sons, heartfelt tears.

The pain will never be gone

Since you left me all alone.

My empty arms still long to hold you

To see you grow up;  to hear your voice.

That would cause my sad heart to rejoice.

My eyes long to see your face.

This pain nothing can erase.

Are you happy in your new heavenly home?

Did you enjoy seeing your and two sisters and your Dad?

They left me here in more grief to join you there.

Of this I am well aware.

Neither of you will anymore roam.

Some glad day God will call me.

Only then will I be joyful again

When My eyes can set upon thee.

Then there will be no more pain.

With all my love until we meet again.
