I did not ever try to teach it to people outside of my own family; for I knew they could never accept such a thing. But I saw on one of the boards where someone has looked into this Scripture and seen a portion of this truth , and are using it to deny the virgin birth of Jesus. So, in the face of this misunderstanding I will tell you the truth of the Scripture in Isa. 7:10-17. This person did not get the full meaning of this Scripture, and therefore they are misusing it. As I know many of you are on more than one board, as I am, I want to show you the truth of this. You will read the fulfillment of that prophecy in Isa. 8:1-15. This prophecy in Isa. 7:14---Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel, was fulfilled in Isa. 8. Isaiah was told to take a great roll, and write in it with a man’s pen, concerning Mahershalalhashbaz. v2---And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah. v3---And I went unto the prophetesss; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz. Many think this was Isaiah’s son, but notice, it did not ever say she bear him a son; just said - she bear a son. He is never called Isaiah’s son. v4---For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the King of Assyria. V 8--Shows that this will be fulfilled within 65 years of that time this is spoken; so this had to be fulfilled back there then. Isa.7:15,16---Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. This shows that in THEIR day, a virgin born son would still be a baby, not knowing how to say, My father and my mother, also before this child knew to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that Ahaz hated would be forsaken of her king. This happened BACK there in their day; not way down in the day of Jesus. God has a law that in the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall be established. He himself never deviates from that law. Some prophecies are fulfilled more than once. Example, when God said, Out of Egypt have I called my Son. It is said that that was fulfilled when Israel came out of Egypt with Moses, but God said later it was fulfilled when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus out of Egypt back to their homeland. So, the coming out of Egypt by Moses typed the coming out by Jesus; thus the prophecy has a two-fold meaning, reaching to Jesus. That is what happened here. There were TWO virgin born sons. Maherslalalhashbaz was the one prophecied in Isa. 7. He is the one who was the sign to Ahaz. The one who would not know to cry, my father or mother before the King of Assyria came and took away their riches. This child is also called Immanuel. And it is proven to mean God with us. Read Isa, 8: 10--(speaking to them back in Ahaz’s day, ) “Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand, for God is with us. Notice, it did not say that Isaiah ‘went in unto’ the prophetess, which would have meant he had intercourse with her. But, it said he went unto her. That means he only went to where she was. Now, WHY would he take faithful witnesses to record this event, IF he were going to have intercourse with her? NO!! This was a virgin born son. The first ‘witness’ of this happening. It does not say, as with Mary, that the Holy Ghost overshadowed her, or that the Power of the Highest came on her. This was a ‘spoken’ word conception. That is why the faithful witnesses were there: to prove that it was done by only speaking the word to her. The Word of God caused her to conceive, to fulfill his word to Ahaz. It is also a type of the Word in us causing the spiritual conception for us to bring forth Christ in us. This first virgin born son was Mahershalalhashbaz. He is the other witness that virgin birth did happen. Those witnesses were there to verify to King Ahaz that Isaiah had not touched her. All knew she was a virgin. This is why she was chosen for this. But, this prophecy is also for our Lord Jesus. Just as the one about out of Egypt have I called my son pertained to him. This is how precise God is. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word be established. God did not let his Word go unfulfilled that he would show this with at least two witnesses. So, instead of denying the virgin birth of Jesus, this all the more establishes it. Glory to God!!! The prophecy concerning Jesus is in Isa. 9:6-- But, the other prophecy also pertains to Jesus. Both prophecies show the virgin birth of Jesus; being even more confirmed by the fact that two were virgin born. One by the spoken word; the other by the Spirit. The same way we are spiritually ‘born again’. The word and the spirit. There were two virgin born sons; but Mahershalalhashbaz was only a type for Christ. That is why no more is said about him in the Word. He had to be, to show Ahaz that God fulfilled His word to Ahaz. But, Jesus is the fulfillment of it to us. I am glad for an opportunity to finally tell the world about this. May God bless you all with this message. That message above was written by me around two years ago. Tonight, March 4, 2003, I am going to add this part below. This is the part which only recently been revealed to me. This is the part I wanted to put on the board at this time to help clear up the message about Jesus not being God. When I wrote the above part, Build on the True Foundation did not even exist. As I tried to go to sleep tonight, this message came into my mind. At first I did not want to post this. But then I decided it was the thing to do. I know for sure that unless God really speaks to your mind and heart, you will reject this message. But I feel I must share it anyway. Now if you take the time to read Ias. 9: 6 you will see it does not mention the virgin birth. It says: for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The prince of Peace. v7--Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice form henceforth even for ever. Now I know everyone thinks this is Mary’s Son, Jesus. But I will show you it is NOT. And herein lies the confusion and misunderstanding of the Word of God. This is speaking of the resurrected Jesus. He is the one who will sit on the throne of David forever, not the flesh man, Jesus, for that man died. The resurrected Christ is the one called our God, our Father, the everlasting Father (he will forever be our Father), he is our peace. This resurrected Son is the one who will bring the judgment; not the flesh man born to Mary. He said himself he did not bring judgment. I had meant to only do this part as a new message; but now feel it best to just add this to the first part of Immanuel. Now, you are going to have to take this message real slow; take it a bit at a time; compare it slowly with these Scriptures and pray for truth. Now let’s look at Matt. 1: 18. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25. And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Verse 18--Mary was found with child of the Holy Ghost before she and Joseph came together. So this proves the Holy Ghost is responsible for Jesus being in Mary’s womb; not Joseph. v20 also says this, that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. V21--She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now this does NOT say this child or this name is Emmanuel; nor does it say this child is God with us. Now just hold on and read this slowly. I know everything taught us makes us think this is the answer. I also thought so until God revealed this to me a few days ago. So I understand your getting upset at this. But let it have time to ‘digest’. Notice it is finished speaking now of Mary birthing her son, Jesus. This child, even though he was placed in her womb by the working of the Holy Ghost, he is still a full human being, having come from the seed of Abraham and David through Mary and this working of the Holy Ghost. The Spirit did not place into this conception the nature of God. He did not place the Holy Ghost into this child here. He only quickened her seed and made life come from it. This life was not God. It was a man. Now here is the secret. Read verse 22 carefully. 22. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, All what? All of the above from verse 18 down through verse 21. All of that was done, Mary conceiving a child and then giving birth to a human child for a purpose. What was that purpose? Cont. Please read part two. Jo Smith Part two of Emmanuel ~~ All of this was done (her conception and giving birth to Jesus)-- v23--23. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. All of that was done so it could be fulfilled about the virgin bringing forth a son and calling his name Emmanuel, God with us. Now was God with us in the baby Jesus? Of course not. Jesus was not a God. Jesus was a human being; born of human flesh. Sure the quickening was done by the Holy Ghost; but that did not make Jesus be a God. He did not quicken God in Mary; he quickened Humanity in Mary. You need to realize that Jesus was the wife of God. Jesus is the wife forsaken in youth when he was refused. This was at Calvary. This is where God forsook Him (his wife). That is why I wanted you all to see the two creations and that Jesus is not God before trying to teach this. It would be impossible to understand this message without that. But I have been pushed to do this before I needed to. I must show that Jesus was not the Emmanuel. Jesus before the resurrection was first man Adam = human. That is what he came to do away with. He said he went into to hell to destroy Satan. He came out of that grave as the only begotten Son of God. (Romans 1) That is why we have been trying to show that part first. You must see that the son Mary birthed was NOT THE SON OF GOD BEING SPOKEN OF AS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. I know the fact that the Holy Ghost overshadowed her for that conception makes it look as if this is the place where God begot His Son. But see that Paul stated in Romans 1, that it happened at the resurrection. Also Peter stated it when he quoted Psm. 2 that at the time of the resurrection is when that prophecy was fulfilled that God begot His Son? See then that I am saying the same thing Paul and Peter said? If you can’t believe me, then try believing them. I showed in the two creations, that the whole earth, with her king and all her people are the females of the universe. This is Spiritual. This is the wife of God. For God and the Heavenly world are the spirits, the males of the universe. So with Jesus being the head of this earth’s kingdom, He is part of the female to God. He is the wife of God. He is the one who bore the children of God for God. We are his children. He is our Mother. Jesus is the woman in travail in Rev. 12. Yes, Jesus was in travail at Calvary. He went through this to give us life. To bear children to God. The woman being with child, means God had put a SEED in her. This seed is to bring forth a Son of God in the likeness and glory of God. The Seed is His Word. We are now with child the same way. We have the Seed of God in us, working to bring us forth at the resurrection in the likeness and glory of God, our Father. This is done by Jesus our Mother. Jesus, being a human being same as us, had a SEED of God placed inside him. This seed was the Word of God. It was working in Jesus to bring forth a Son of God at his resurrection, in the likeness and glory of God, his Father. So then, JESUS WAS THAT VIRGIN WITH CHILD. JESUS IS THAT VIRGIN UNTO GOD, DOING ALWAYS THE THINGS WHICH PLEASED GOD, JESUS IS THAT VIRGIN WHO WAS SPOKEN OF IN ISAIAH 7, WHO WOULD BRING FORTH A VIRGIN BORN SON OF GOD. That Seed of God was placed into his womb (= his soul), and worked there all the days of his life to bring him forth into the likeness and glory of God. At his resurrection, it was said, this is the day I have begotten this Son of God. This is the day that prophecy in Psm. 2 was fulfilled. So back to Matt. Read down through v22--this Mary bringing forth HER SON, JESUS, was done in order that the prophecy of Isa. 7, (a virgin shall be with child and bring forth a son) could be fulfilled. If Jesus had not been born of Mary the way he was, then that virgin (Jesus) could not have also fulfilled His part of bringing forth a Son of God by the Seed Word of God which had been inside him. He never sinned; he did always the things which pleased God, therefore He came forth the very FIRST BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD IN GOD’S IMAGE. Hebs. 2: 9. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12. Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 14. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15. And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. Now I know this is getting very long; But with such a message this is the only to explain all of this. Verse 9 shows that Jesus was made lower than angels for the suffering of death. v10--shows that Jesus was to bring many sons unto glory ( showing he is our Mother) to bring us to perfect Sons of God. v11- he now calls these Sons his brethren. See they are all now in the Family of God. (this is speaking of at the end, after the resurrection; then we will be like unto them, glorified). Now proof: verse 13--. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. See? This is Jesus speaking. I and the children God gave me. See? Jesus the Mother, God the Father. Jesus, the resurrected Son of God being the first one. All the true saints the next children. Jesus is our Mother, our sister, and our brother. He also is our Father in that He is the one who puts that Seed into us. Now v. 14--shows that because we children had partaken of flesh and blood, he did also. He did this so he could die and destroy the devil. v16--He took not the nature of angels, but the seed of Abraham --- which was a human being. Surely you do not think Abraham was God? V17--Proves He was made like unto his brethren, having suffered just as us. So in conclusion, Jesus was the virgin with child who brought forth the Son of God, the resurrected Christ. This Christ is that virgin born Son, born of Jesus, the Son of Mary. Mary birthed her son, Jesus, a human being. This man died for our sins. Inside this man was the Seed Word of God growing and coming to maturity. At the resurrection, this Seed produced the perfect Son of God, Jesus Christ. Just as we have an ‘old man’ which we must crucify so Christ can be formed in us - so did the captain of our salvation, Jesus, Mary’s son, have an ‘old’ man nature, first man Adam, human flesh, which had to be crucified so the inner man, the Seed of God could live. He was the first begotten from the dead. This is Christ, the virgin born son of God, the Son of Jesus. This Christ is the Son of God in the likeness and glory of God the Father. This Christ is the Emmanuel, God with us. He put his own Spirit into me, thus he is God with me. God was in Christ, therefore that was also God with us, because God was in him. God is with us because His Spirit is in us. So his spirit is the Emmanuel. That is inside me. By: Jo Smith 3-5-03
